Follow us on our 2012 Summer Adventure. Probably not as exciting as our trips from past years. We'll pretty much be in our own back yard, and within a day trip of home here in Massachusetts. Alex and I will be visiting the vast state of Maine. Every excursion of ours can be a great adventure, and since we've only visited a limited amount of Maine, there's so much for us to explore.

Please Enjoy Reading, as I enjoy sharing this with you. And feel free to share this with your friends!

Also, if you know of any place we should check out, leave me a comment and we'll try to fit it in.

Day 2 - Bass Head Lighthouse

Our next stop was the Bass Head Lighthouse. I think it was the only thing that I just had to see on this trip. When I was three my parents took me here with my grandmother. The only thing I remember was the lighthouse. And when my grandmother took off her wig in the cabin we were staying in. I was devastated. I couldn't remember much else. When we first got to the lighthouse yesterday I knew I was at the right place, but the view was wrong.

But after following another trail down a steep set of stairs the lighthouse came into the view I remembered.

After we viewed the lighthouse, played on the rocks, we then sat in the small parking lot to watch the idiots fight for a parking spot. During one Mexican standoff a scooter pulled up and was waiting for a spot. We kindly told him he could park next to our bike. We laughed as he scooted around the cars and parked next to us. The car that was next in line thought where the bike was parked was an open space. Haha nope.
After that bit of amusement we headed back to camp for dinner, a little bit of drinking by the fire and turned in early.
